Routing for critical wireless multi-hop robotic networks H/F

Candidater

Industrial robots are often deployed in areas that are hard to reach or as mobile units. This internship studies how to create wireless network for reliable multi-hop wireless communications for industrial robots where direct link is not possible. The subject of this internship is to extend the work of our lab on the use of software defined networking (SDN) controller. We aim to create routing of wireless network of mobile robots in hard-to-reach conditions. The controller continues to receive information about the network conditions and decides how to create the routing paths for each node in the network as the link quality changes. The candidate is expected to have experience wireless networks and C/python programming and preferably with Linux network programming.
