On June 16, the CEA Grenoble center received the official "Firefighter Partner Employer" label from the French Ministry of the Interior. This distinction highlights a concrete commitment to supporting volunteer firefighters, in partnership with SDIS 38 (Isère Departmental Fire and Rescue Service).

Valuing our employees’ commitment

By signing a partnership agreement with SDIS 38, CEA Grenoble enables its volunteer employees to fully engage in civil protection missions. This institutional support helps facilitate their availability for interventions, training, and on-call duties — all while maintaining their professional career path.

This national recognition reflects a strong conviction: volunteering as a firefighter is a civic commitment of public interest that deserves to be encouraged and supported by employers. CEA Grenoble proudly stands among the public and private organizations that actively embrace this role.

A symbolic ceremony

The award ceremony took place at the Isère Prefecture, in the presence of Anne Gérin, Chair of the SDIS 38 Board of Directors, and Afif Lazrak, Chief of Staff to the Prefect of Isère. A solemn moment that underlined the importance of synergy between institutions, businesses, and civil protection actors.

Beyond the symbol, this label is above all a tribute to our volunteer firefighter employees, whose courage, solidarity, and sense of duty command respect. Through their daily commitment, they embody the values of public service, responsibility, and action that are at the heart of the CEA’s mission.
