Every year, CEA welcomes a large number of students through work-study programmes within its technological research teams. This provides a unique opportunity to contribute to innovations in strategic fields such as microelectronics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics, biotechnology and software engineering.
On May 29, 2026, CEA hosted a dedicated webinar to help students gain a better understanding of the work-study opportunities available across its laboratories and support functions.
Nearly 700 participants registered for the online event, reflecting the growing interest among future engineers, researchers and digital specialists in careers in technological research.
A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Technological Research
During the webinar, CEA teams presented the different work-study programme pathways, the profiles and skills sought after, and the recruitment process. Participants also gained valuable insights into the day-to-day experience of apprentices and the projects they contribute to.
The session addressed several key questions, including:
- How can I apply for a work-study at CEA?
- What skills and qualifications are most in demand?
- How are apprentices supported throughout their experience?
- What career opportunities can an apprenticeship at CEA open up?
